A History of
Innovation

The original third party due diligence consultant to concentrate on the HUD-FHA-MAP mortgage insurance industry. D3G has since developed into a full-service Environmental and Engineering real estate due diligence company focusing on the nation’s housing market.  D3G continues to be an innovator in the market, continually striving to be part of the solution to the affordable housing crisis in this country. We provide all core services in-house and deliver investment-grade reporting for environmental, engineering, energy, design, and construction cost estimation.

1994

Rob Hazelton found Dominion Environmental Group (now Dominion Due Diligence Group).

1999

D3G completes the first HUD-compliance PCNA.  The Architectural and Cost (AEC) Review department is formed!

2008

D3G Opens Denver Office and Creates Energy & Sustainability Team.  Surpasses 50 employees.

2011

D3G selected by HUD to pilot the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) process and completed the Capital Needs and Energy Studies on the first RAD project.  We have completed hundreds of RAD projects since.

2014

D3G Awarded Top place to Work by Richmond Times Dispatch. D3G Pilots the HUD CNA E-Tool.

2016

 D3G is selected for the first major city RAD transformation (one of the three largest HA’s in the country).

2017

D3G moves to new headquarters in award-winning sustainably designed building. D3G also is selected by HUD to pilot the HUD HEROS environmental interface.

2019

D3G celebrates 25 years in business and continues to expand services and locations.
